On March 8, DUT 2023 Symposium on Sino-foreign Joint Programs was held at Development Zone Campus. The meeting was attended by the International Office (Administration Office of Sino-Foreign Joint Programs) and the persons in charge from the International School of Information Science & Engineering, the Leicester International Institute, DUT-BSU Institute, and DUT-UCI Joint Institute. The meeting was chaired by Liu Jinxuan, deputy director of the Administration Office of Sino-Foreign Joint Programs.

Wang Jue, Head of the International Office, made a comprehensive introduction to the key work of DUT internationalization in curriculum, faculty, student training, academic research, and organization and management. She also introduced the targets set for DUT international school-running, and international assessment index system and scheme.

The persons in charge from the four joint schools gave their summary reports on their Sino-foreign cooperation in 2022. While summarizing and sharing their successful experience of cooperative education, they sorted out the difficulties encountered in the development process and corresponding solutions, and put forward visions and goals for their future work. Staff from the Office of Sino-foreign Cooperation and Management in Running Schools introduced the key programs of DUT international exchange and cooperation.

Participants had a lively discussion on improving the quality of students, strengthening talent training and foreign faculty, building an international scientific and technological cooperation platform, serving the “Double First-Class” construction, and future development positioning in Sino-foreign cooperation.
